SECURITY CAMERAS
LICENCE PLATE RECOGNITION
Through a generous donation by Mr Anonymous, we now have to Automated Number Plate Recognition cameras, linked to SAPS and Harlyn, tracking and monitoring all vehicles entering and exiting our area. These should be installed in June 2024.
BOUNDARY CCTV MONITORED CAMERAS
We will be installing a number of CCTV with AI starting from June 2024.
We are exploring the options of monitoring software, and establishing partnerships that will be efficient, effective and on the ball, without delays, in the best interest of our civic area.
We have raised R75000 in our first round of fundraising, which should be enough for 4 or 5 cameras. We will soon be launching a second round of fundraising.
Our aim is to have at least one monitored camera at every strategic entry and exit point in our area, in which there are 50 roads.
INTERNAL SPIDERS WEB CAMERAS
Thanks to our generous BECA members, we are filling up our spiders network of monitored AI cameras belonging to strategic house locations within the BECA area. This number is growing day by day.
